I'm Here...Finally

So if you looked at a calendar rescently, you would realize that today is Saturday, May 26. I was supposed to arrive on the 25th. Let's just say that I had a long layover in Houston. Like spend the night in a hotel layover. It was an afternoon and night of relaxation. But I am here now.
If you have ever been here, you know that poverty can be seen even before you land at the airport. As I looked out the airplane window, I could see the endless rows of one-room shacks, that I am sure are filled with large families struggling to find a meal for the evening.
You know, we get so comfortable in our bubbles, but this summer is forcing me to get out of my comfort bubble and into the not so comfortable rest of the world.

My first day at Casa de Esperanza was great. I have fallen re-in love with five little boys and gotten to love on 11 other children here, that are new to me.
I will put pictures on later.

JT,
Thanks for informing us on my space that you have a blog. Since we've been back, we cannot get enough information about what is going on at Casa. Glad to know we'll have another outlet. We will definitely be tuning in. Have a great summer. God Bless =)
