Well I have had my first full day here at Casa. Let me tell you that it was pretty crazy. Managing 16 kids is quite a job, but also quite a joy.
This morning was church. I really enjoyed even though I did not understand a word. Before church, I felt like I was playing a game with 10 little boys, trying to get them ready. It was great. O and we didn't have electricity for most of the day.
I just got back from going to a "restaurant" with Jen, Ashley, and Colby. Wow, God was right there at a bar, giving us the right things to say and the approchable attitudes. To begin with, our waitress is a billingual teacher here in Honduras. They are strongly considering starting a billingual school here on the property, and this lady would be a great asset. Then, a local teenager came up and just wanted to talk to us. He just wanted to talk to people who spoke English. The conversation, Jen as the ringleader, turned into a talk of God. It was amazing. Then the conversation turned to two local gentleman. It turned out that one of the men was a mechanic. That would not be that signifigant had there not been a boy here who is having a hard time adjusting, but loves cars. We arranged for Luby, the boy, to go and learn about auto mechanic. O my goodness, God went to a bar tonight. I guess Christ spending time with those who others looked down upon was not just supposed to stay in the Bible. He is still spending time in bars today. Today was a great day.
Well here are a few pictures from yesterday
